Profile

Background and direction.

I grew up in Querétaro, Mexico. My father worked from home for most of my childhood, and I spent a lot of it next to him, watching him work through long documents and business calls and asking him what every unfamiliar word meant. That is where my interest in business started, well before I studied it.

I attended John F. Kennedy, The American School of Querétaro through graduation in 2024 and completed the International Baccalaureate programme with honors. IB Business Management gave me the structure behind what I had watched at home; IB Economics added the quantitative side; Theory of Knowledge taught me to test my own assumptions and look for the perspective I was missing.

The experience that shaped me most was Culver. I arrived as a cadet in 2022 resisting every part of the military routine and left as a First Sergeant and Operations Officer. I returned as a counselor in 2025 and 2026 to lead a unit of 40 campers of my own.

I chose Hult International Business School for its international focus and practical approach to business. I study Finance with a minor in Economics and am on the Dean's List. Alongside coursework I do independent research in equity valuation, governance and monetary policy.

My goal is to work where leadership and financial judgement meet: in management, operations, banking or investment, and eventually to build and run a business of my own.

Leadership

Culver, from cadet to counselor.

Culver Summer Schools & Camps in Culver, Indiana runs six-week, military-structured summer programs with more than 1,500 campers and 600 staff.

Arrival

Joined as a cadet in the Black Horse Troop, Culver's equestrian unit. For the first two weeks I resisted the routine and the standards it demanded.

Promotion

Changed my approach, finished at the top of my classes and was promoted to First Sergeant, Operations Officer and Regimental Athletic Officer.

Return as counselor

Appointed Unit Counselor of Naval 4, responsible for 40 campers alongside a team of three counselors.

Second summer

Led the unit for a second summer. It finished with the highest camper retention rate at camp and was recognized as the camp's most disciplined unit.

Unit Counselor, Naval 4

Culver Summer Schools & Camps, Culver, IN
Summers 2025 – 2026

Every unit at Culver is inspected daily and ranked across the summer on its rooms, its campers' uniforms and bearing, its shared spaces and its marching. I lived with the unit around the clock for six weeks each summer and was responsible for its discipline, scheduling, safety and welfare.

How the unit was run

The unit, known internally as the Sons of Poseidon, was organized into five teams named Foxtrot, Oscar, Romeo, Charlie and Echo. Each team was accountable for its own members, and a shared demerit-tracking spreadsheet made every camper's standing visible to the whole unit.

Before the first inspection, campers and staff went through a structured onboarding session, followed by weekly meetings that reviewed results and set targets for the week ahead. I also ran the unit's identity and communications: branded materials, apparel design, and social media accounts that kept parents informed through the summer.

  • Structure. Divided 40 campers into five accountable teams with a shared demerit-tracking system, so standards were measured daily rather than assumed.
  • Standards. Wrote a Dress A uniform standard operating procedure, cross-checked against the student handbook and correcting gaps on shoulder boards, grooming, ribbon placement and NCO belt requirements.
  • Training. Designed a 22-slide onboarding presentation and a 15-slide weekly meeting format, both with full speaker notes for the counselor team.
  • Communication. Built parent-facing social media and printed materials so families could follow the unit's progress.
  • Results. Finished with the highest camper retention rate of any unit, and in 2026 received the Military Banner, the camp's award for the most disciplined unit based on daily inspections and drill.

Cadet, Black Horse Troop

Culver Summer Schools & Camps, Culver, IN
Summers 2022 – 2023

My first summer began at 6:00 a.m. with an hour of bed-making, dust-free windows and desks, swept and mopped floors, aligned shoes and an immaculate uniform, all before breakfast. After two difficult weeks I stopped fighting the routine and started leading within it.

What changed

The routine did not change; my approach to it did. I made a point of being the first one ready for every activity, followed the Culver Honor Code, and held myself to the standard I had once thought was impossible. Counselors and other cadets noticed, and the responsibility that followed came from that consistency.

The lessons carried home with me: more discipline, clearer goals, and the confidence to lead people rather than wait to be led.

  • Ranks. Promoted to First Sergeant, Operations Officer and Regimental Athletic Officer.
  • Recognition. Earned ribbons for discipline, athletics and horsemanship, and finished the summer at the top of my classes.
  • Training. Horsemanship with the Black Horse Troop, archery, rifle marksmanship, water skiing, ice skating and etiquette.
  • Standard. Lived by the Culver Honor Code, which later became the basis for how I ran my own unit.

Additional leadership

2025 – Present

Hult Fishing Society

Co-Founder and Vice President, Hult International Business School

  • Co-founded the society in 2025 and grew membership to more than 30 students.
  • Co-lead club operations, recruitment and events.
Campus involvement

I am also a member of the Hult Mexican Association and the Hult Catholic Club.

2022 – 2024

Chair, Model United Nations

John F. Kennedy, The American School of Querétaro

  • Chaired a committee on the BRICS alliance at an October 2023 conference with hundreds of delegates.
  • Received an award for moderation at that conference.
Details

I joined MUN in eighth grade, but my middle school's program was limited, and the pandemic interrupted extracurriculars early in high school. Friends who knew I enjoyed debate encouraged me to return, and I completed the school's chair training.

As chair I ran sessions under formal parliamentary procedure, kept debate on topic, and mediated between opposing blocs to reach workable resolution language. Committee topics included the BRICS alliance, human rights violations and trade questions framed through the World Trade Organization. The role built my research, public speaking and negotiation skills.

2020 – 2024

Student Council

John F. Kennedy, The American School of Querétaro

  • Four consecutive years as liaison between students and school administration.
  • Planned and ran school-wide events from logistics to execution.
Details

I represented my class in administrative discussions, carried student concerns forward and reported decisions back. The role taught me to weigh every opinion equally, avoid bias when speaking for a group, and lead by example rather than by instruction.

2023 – 2024

Volunteer Teacher

Primaria 15 de Septiembre, Querétaro, Mexico

  • Taught reading and writing to a class of 40 children aged 6 to 10 at an under-resourced public school.
  • Received the IB CAS Award for the project.
Details

I chose the project after the school's principals visited my high school and described their students' needs. Most of the children could not yet read or write. Working with two other student tutors in classrooms of more than 40, I used interactive, game-based activities adapted to each child's starting level.

By the end, several students could read and write on their own. One wanted to learn so he could read bedtime stories to his baby sister; moments like that are why I plan to keep doing this kind of work.

Experience

Professional experience.

Operational roles where the work happens in real time, and a business I started at fourteen.

Sep 2026 – Present

Bijou and 51

Door and Security Staff, Boston, MA

  • Control entry at two venues on weekend nights, verifying tickets and managing guest flow.
  • Maintain order and resolve guest issues as they arise.
  • Respond to incidents and emergencies alongside management.
What the role requires

High-volume nights leave little time to deliberate. The job is fast problem-solving under pressure, clear communication with guests and staff, and staying calm when something goes wrong.

Summers 2022 – 2023

Ojo Ciego Camp

Camp Counselor, Mexico

  • Led and supervised groups of children through daily camp programming.
  • Responsible for camper safety and wellbeing.
Context

My first counseling role. A smaller and less intensive program than Culver, it was where I first learned to take responsibility for a group of children.

2020

Galato

Founder, artisanal ice cream, Querétaro

  • Founded a premium artisanal ice cream business at age 14.
  • Sold to hundreds of households across the city.
  • Managed ordering, pricing and customer relationships, and delivered every order personally.
What I learned

Running a business alone, however small, meant owning every part of it: product, price, customer and delivery. It was my first experience of turning an idea into revenue.

2020 – 2024

John F. Kennedy, The American School of Querétaro

High school diploma with honors, International Baccalaureate programme. Querétaro, Mexico

  • IB Business Management, IB Economics and Theory of Knowledge.
  • IB CAS Award for community service.
  • Model United Nations chair and four years on Student Council.
Details

I attended JFK from early childhood through graduation. IB Business Management covered how businesses are started, structured and managed; the marketing unit was my favorite. IB Economics approached the same questions through a more quantitative lens.

Theory of Knowledge was the most influential course I took. Its open questions with no single right answer taught me to consider multiple perspectives and to recognize when my own bias was getting in the way of the bigger picture.

Personal

Personal interests.

HorsemanshipAbout 12 years

I have ridden for about twelve years, longer than almost anything else I do. At Culver I rode with the Black Horse Troop, the equestrian unit, where horsemanship was part of daily training and one of the areas where I earned my ribbons. Riding requires patience, consistency and calm, and it has taught me all three.

PianoMusic since school

I learned several instruments at school, but the piano is the one that stayed with me. It became a daily escape where I could lose myself in melodies for hours. It is still the way I reset after a long day.

FencingSport

Fencing rewards focus and quick decisions. Every exchange is short and every mistake is immediate, which makes it one of the most demanding sports I practice.

SailingOn the water

Sailing is one of my favorite ways to spend time outdoors. Reading the wind and handling the boat is a skill you keep refining, and it is as much about planning as it is about reacting.

MotorboatsOn the water

I am comfortable operating motorboats and enjoy the responsibility that comes with it: safety, navigation, and looking after everyone on board.

PaddlesportsOn the water

Kayaking and paddling are the quieter side of my time on the water. They are a good way to disconnect, stay active and enjoy being outdoors.

ArcheryLearned at Culver

Of all the skills I learned as a cadet at Culver, from water skiing to rifle marksmanship, archery was my favorite. It is precise, patient and completely focused.

Fashion and brandsBusiness interest

I have always paid attention to what people wear and how brands present themselves. What interests me most is the business side: how companies such as Apple turn a product into a lifestyle through design, marketing and a consistent identity.
